CE Restaurant formerly Chicken Express concept began in 1990. Chicken Express in Melrose and later in Belmont MA, core belief was a home style alternative to fast food.
The founders were trendsetters in many ways. First they introduced rotisserie chicken to fast good with healthy home style flair. The menu consisted of side dishes of mashed potatoes made from fresh, hand peeled potatoes and vegetables. The art of perfect home style chicken besides the seasoning is the size of the chicken to be cooked should be at least 3 pounds; the length of the cooking time should be over 3 hours and the temperature of the burners and the size of the flames.
Another trend set by the entrepreneur was the delivery service. Prior to Chicken Express the owner operated Good Fame pizza. They were one of the first restaurants to try home delivery. The concept was cutting edge and it caught on like wildfire. Now yet again these business minded owners have yet another great concept with the union of the Chicken Express and The Burger Stop. A home style answer to the frozen hamburger patty. The 100% pure Angus ½ pound beef hamburger that it takes two hands to hold!
